Virtual reality (VR) is a technology that uses VR headsets, sometimes in mixture with physical spaces or multi-projected environments, to generate realistic images, sounds and other sensations that simulate a user’s physical presence in imaginary or virtual reality and environment.
VR is an artificial atmosphere that is created with software and presented to the user in such a way that the user suspends belief and accepts it as a realistic imaginary or environment.
The easiest way of making VR is a 3-D image that can be explored interactively at a personal computer, usually by manipulating keys or the mouse so that the content of the image moves in various directions or zooms in or out. More sophisticated efforts engage such approaches as wrap-around display screens, actual rooms augmented with wearable computers, and VR devices that let you feel the display images.
